Project develops & spreads innovative parking management solutions that make the most of digitalisation & advanced ICT. Thus, local & regional car trips will be decreased and green & multimodal forms of transport promoted across the South Baltic Area. For achieving this, the project gathers a “pioneer developer community” that creates new approaches & disseminates them to other parking actors in the SBA.

Annual Market overview (PDF file)

In course of the PARKING GETS SMART project the partners perform a screening of international markets for available commercial parking management solutions & applications. The first, introductory international markets overview was performed in August 2019 and contains a good introduction to the Smart Parking Management solutions.

Annual Market overview on Smart Parking Management (August 2019)

In course We are proud to present the Generic Model Parking Data Hub produced in PARKING GETS SMART project. The hub applies the open source and open data principles for sharing and using the parking data in order for smart parking management.

Our generic parking data hub is based on the data hub produced by the City of Helsinki – Parkkihubi, which had been customised to the parking conditions in the city of Helsinki. In course of the PgS project the original Parkkihubi was “generalized” to allow easier deployment of the hub for other cities.

Now, the PgS Generic Model Parking Data hub is free to use, and can be obtained by clicking the github button below.

The hub package is ready to be deployed and ready to be integrated with local geospatial and parking transactions data. It contains also the interface to visualize data for parking management and planning, and the open API for sharing anonymized data.
